Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Director of Operations to oversee our company's operational strategies and ensure smooth business operations. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills and a proven track record in operations management.
Duties:
· Investigate team member issues, customer complaints, and policy violations.
· Handle team member relations including performance coaching and disciplinary actions.
· Support and conduct terminations when necessary.
· Support and coach supervisors and managers on competencies and opportunities that have a direct effect on H2H best practices and our valued team member base.
· Assist in creation of employment processes and strategies.
· Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements applicable to the company in accordance with State/Federal regulations and any applicable steps required to maintain company licensures.
· Serve as a business partner and consultant to line management as well as risk management on Ops related matters.
· Assist managers, supervisors, and directors in the resolution of performance management issues.
· Collaborate with CEO and Risk Management on loss control and workers compensation related initiatives.
· Participate in and provide general oversight of Risk & Safety investigations.
· Provide direct oversight of the Customer Service Department (CSC)/Dispatch and leadership to include the CSC Manager and Forecasting Associate.
· Provide direct oversight of the Baltimore 911/IFT operations and leadership.
· Maintain weekly stakeholder meetings / Smart Action Plan (SAP) touch-base reviews with Ops Leadership.
· Participate in client relations meetings to include monthly teleconferences and onsite visits.
· Review daily forecast metrics and UHU volume containment in real time.
· Review monthly utilization of resources planner (staffing) vs. transport demand.
· Review previous day UHU volume containment and vend reports and share feedback with Senior Leadership on missed opportunities.
· Oversee tracking of fleet equipment.
· Maintain state compliance with fleet annual inspections.
· Oversee new vehicle and equipment purchases.
· Manage annual budgeting for supplies and equipment.
· Oversee ALS and RN programs.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
1. Nationally Registered EMT (Paramedic preferred) and/or RN
2. 2-3 years proven management experience in a manager or director level role
3. Possess and display a “boots on the ground” mentality
4. Team player who can build partnerships with our valued team members
5. Excellent customer service skills possessing strong aptitude in communications
6. Problem solver/solutions provider
7. Ability to meet milestones and projected target goals
8. Microsoft Office knowledge with proficiency in Excel
9. Strong skills in a diverse workforce with ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
10. Ability to pass drug screen, criminal background check, and pre-employment behavioral interview
11. Driver’s license with safe driving record (under 2 points)
12. Not concurrently employed by another transportation company
