The Benjamin Preparatory School® , a Christian private early childhood education performing arts school, is currently seeking qualified, caring, and energetic Lead and Assistant Teachers for our Infant, One and Two Year Old Classes.
Our Lead and Assistant Teachers work together :
Developing and implementing lesson plans
Meeting the individual needs of the children including feeding and diapering/potty training
Participation in staff and training meetings
Designing an maintaining an appropriate classroom arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children
Interacting with the children to support play, exploration, and learning
Presenting expectations that are appropriate to the child’s age and developmental level
Planning and implementing activities that develop self-esteem and social skills
Communicating appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff
Meeting Benjamin Preparatory School standards and Bright From the Start licensing requirements
Using and completing assessment tools and conducting quarterly parent conferences
Lead Teachers are responsible for ensuring compliance with Benjamin Preparatory School industry-leading Quality Assurance standards. Lead Teachers write and implement their own lesson plans based on Benjamin Preparatory School and Georgia Early Learning Standards, Developmental Guidelines and monthly school themes. Most importantly, they create a positive learning environment in their classroom where children develop a lifelong love of learning and appreciation for the arts!
Job Requirements **
Lead Teacher Qualifications
CDA, Associates or BA in Early Childhood Education or related field
Prior classroom experience (Infant, Toddler, Preschool, Kindergarten)
Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices and Bright From the Start Rules and Regulations
Strong written and communication skills
Must pass National Criminal Background Check and FBI Fingerprinting
Assistant Teacher Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Minimum of 18 years of age
Prior experience with children preferred
Must pass National Background Check and FBI Fingerprinting
