Ocotillo is a new brunch restaurant now open up in Portland's West End neighborhood! Sibling restaurant to Terlingua BBQ and Market located in the East End.
We are open Thursday-Sunday from 8AM-3PM and looking to extend our days of operations to 7-days a week in the coming month. Weekend availability is a must.
Call-times ranging from 6AM to 8:30AM depending on the shift scheduled. The length of shifts depend on either a 4/10-hour schedule or, 5/8-hour schedule.
Our menu is focused on influences from Mexico and the SouthWest US flavors and concepts.
Our opening management team has worked together for years and comes with a great foundation of systems planning, communication and proactive, positive engagement with our team.
Our compensation philosophy at Ocotillo is a full-house tip pool model. This is where Ocotillo pays each hourly team member the City of Portland's minimum wage which is currently $15/HR. The full-house tip pool model generates one tip pool and distributed out through a point system managed by our payroll company. The tip pool is split between all hourly positions at the restaurant. We strongly believe in team work and that we rise and fall together as one team at this restaurant. By having a full-house tip pool we strive to curate a meaningful work environment built on hard work, trust, communication and a collaborative healthy workplace.

You need to be a morning person to consider this role. If you are not currently a morning person, then you understand that the willingness to begin working at 6AM is part of the job.
