We are a neighborhood cafe offering a variety of seasonally rotating house-made pastries, short order food/menu items, and a thoughtfully crafted coffee program utilizing both local and national roasters. Our mission is to bring comfort and foster connection within our community through delicious coffee and food.
Duties:
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold coffee/tea beverages
- Take customer orders and accurately input them into the point-of-sale system
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning equipment and dishes
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the health and safety of customers
- Assist with quick-order food items, such as toasts and sandwiches
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving any issues or complaints
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years experience as a barista or in a cafe setting
Skills
-Adaptability to volume shifts in environment
- An appreciation for service and providing quality
- Knowledge of coffee and tea, with the ability to create latte art
- Familiarity with food handling procedures and safety regulations in the food industry
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively
